HOW IT WORKS:

During this program, you’ll work through structured homework assignments that boost your confidence to know your strengths and improve your resume, cover letters, networking, and interviews. It will keep you on track to help you find jobs in the "hidden job market." You’ll find out how to get your foot in the door at the companies that you want to work for and learn that it’s not “who you know” (already) but “how to know who you need to know.”

WEEK 1: Create a resume that communicates your strongest skills as they relate to job applications and stand out from the crowd.

  • Learn expert behind-the-scenes tips for how to make your resume stand out as the best applicant

  • Get tips on updating your resume formatting for a professional but modern style

  • Learn how to customize and modify your resume to engage hiring managers and recruiters.


WEEK 2: Cover Letter & LinkedIn Profile: Refresh your LinkedIn profile to attract the right recruiters. Craft a cover letter template that you can use for multiple job applications and learn how to customize your message for each job to catch the attention of hiring managers.

  • Get started with an easy-to-use cover letter template that you modify for each job application

  • Use the LinkedIn checklist to understand how to update your profile

  • Learn how to effectively communicate with recruiters and hiring managers during the application process


WEEK 3: Job Searching: Learn how to find the best jobs and how to follow up to stand out during your job search.

  • Learn tips for how to networking and follow up on applications during the job search

  • Start using the Job Search Toolkit to help you stay organized and motivated during your job search

  • Create a project plan and timeline to find the best job as soon as possible


WEEK 4: Interviews & Salary Negotiation: Write and practice your career story and learn the secret formula to ace an interview (preparation = confidence).

  • Learn how to prepare for interview questions and answer vague prompts like “Tell me about yourself…”

  • The Interview Checklist gives you everything you need to prepare and feel confident before the interview.

  • Learn secret techniques for salary negotiation that have helped my clients double their salary.
